Strike Witches Season 2 Episode 1
Déjàvu. If you watch s1 then you should feel déjàvu all over this episode.
First off, the Venezian Strike Witches try to make contact with humanoid Neuroi. Yet the humanoid Neuroi were laser beamed by a stronger Neuroi that came right at the moment of contact. So now the world is again at war with a far stronger Neuroi than before.
When I say dejavu just now, it really is dejavu. The director seems to recycle same thing used in s1 with more 3d-ish look. Miyafuji is again at her school and preaching same thing she said last s1 – “I will take over the clinic and help people”. We see Michiko’s grandfather again picking up Miyafuji and ride the same road home and saw the same battleship at bay. On their way home they almost got into an accident ( ring a bell ? ) whereby this time a bear cub is lying dead-like on the road. Miyafuji then quickly heal the bear and suddenly mama bear appear angrily. Try and do this in real life and I can assure you’d at least lose part of your body if you’re not dead.
When mama bear saw that her cub is ok, she left smiling. Yeah… mama bear can smile.
Again, a letter came from Miyafuji’s father with a new Neuroi design. Thus Miyafuji decided that she will seek Sakamoto at the base. While she was there, an emergency call from Gallia – Lynnet calling all witches for back-up. Miyafuji however was scolded by Sakamoto to stay away from military at all cost since she did decided ditching witches and get on with her clinic. But when Miyafuji saw Sakamoto riding on a plane heading for Gallia, she decided that she will not let Sakamoto fights alone.
While on the plane a newly powerful bigger design Neuroi appear. And this Neuroi decided to atk Miyafuji’s plane of all thing. While on the other hand Luchini and Yeager receive an order to defend against Neuroi.

Well anyway I’m glad I didn’t have to wait 3 years for S2. I was seriously pissed off with Ookiku furikabutte s2 ended that way.
