This review is from Ep 1 – 4 .
[dropcap]I[/dropcap] never was a fan of baseball, I knew nothing other than basic things like the guy in the middle is pitcher and you’re out if ball gets to infielders before you do. I had no clue of this game. So most of the times when Nishouka guys babbling on double play, skewer ball or something advance. Seriously none of it makes sense to me.
[box type="blank" class="border-dashed2"]I’m watching this because I love their first season, story-wise it makes you feel like going out there and play baseball! For me it gave me adrenaline to go out and sweat some shirt. 2nd season started with Riao bullied by his brother, Roka from Tosei High which last season lose to Nishiura . Roka was an ace player of Tosei and now coaching another team that might be Nishiura opponents in future. Roka event went as far as bringing Tosei Captain on filling him about Nishiura game play. Mihashi as usual, he is still having trouble explaining things to Abe. They even dedicated one episode where Abe wonders how he could communicate more fluently with Mihashi. It seems that only Tajima fully understand Mihashi . Abe did figure out a way to make Mihashi talks to him, by being softer than usual. Which irritate him much. Who wouldn’t?
The next game they are going through not as tough as Tosei High, however they do have one first year that is unusually talented. After watching how this team manage to play a long game, Nishiura team decided they wanted to go with called game. I wiki that and supposedly they will win after 7th inning if their team has most runs.
[box type="1" class="rounded-5 shadow" ]a single game between two teams during NCAA competition is nine innings. A doubleheader in NCAA competition may be two seven inning games, two nine inning games, or one nine inning game and one seven inning game between the same teams. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins. If the home team is ahead after eight-and-a-half innings have been played, it is declared the winner, and the last half-inning is not played. If the home team is trailing or tied in the ninth inning or beyond and they score to take the lead, the game ends as soon as the winning run touches home plate; however, if the last batter hits a home run to win the game, he and any runners on base are all permitted to score.[/box]
Last season shows that Tajima got injured at his last batting, this time he’ll be batting first. Coach wants Hanai the captain to fill Tajima’s spot. But during game play, Hanai is given signal to just bunt which makes him wonder is he really the right person for clean up.
As far as episode 4 ended, Nishiura is ahead against Sakitama High School
