Natsuru Seno woke up as a girl and a stuffed toy told him that he needs to fight as kampfer in order to survive.

If you’re into shoujo-ai then I’m sure you have considered this title. If you did, let’s not get too excited.. At first, the sound of turning into a girl, got dragged into a war of survival sounds like a great idea but the anime did not put much into those fight, yet they aim more into your pants.

At the start of the anime, no one knows how they became kampfer. All they know is that they had blue or red bangle and can transform into kampfer.

Like any other boy, Natsuru had a girl he likes which is –Kaede. Kaede is close to Shizuka, the student council president. Natsuru also has two childhood friends, Akane and Mikoto. Akane turns out to be a kampfer , which is on the blue team, Same as Natsuru. Shizuka and Mikoto is also a kampfer, which is in the red team. Aside from Mikoto, everyone else was given stuffed toys by Kaede. All those stuff toys turns to life and guided them on how to be kampfer. Now that is a total big clue, but Natsuru is in denial till the 2nd last episode.

Only few episodes involved them in fighting, which is the first few episodes and the last 2 episode. All the others are about how those 4 girls try to get into Natsuru’s pants in the name of Kampfer.

Akane does nothing other than imagining Natsuru doing naughty stuff on her while Natsuru being a total blunt jerk. Mikoto is the normal childhood friend that he never actually cares. The only character that I like is Shizuka since she is cunning and pretty and good at flirting. Natsuru could not catch the signs all those girls given him aside from Kaede. Kaede however only likes Natsuru when he is in his girl “mode” . Natsuru, ignores every single girl I think somewhat in a selfish way, he only thinks of Kaede even when he’s on a date with other girls. Sometimes he reminds me of Makoto from school days.

The school that they all went to is divided into boys and girls section. Since Natsuru can transform as a girl, Shizuka use her Student President power and dragged him rolling into the girl side. Shizuka does this in order to investigate Kaede’s reaction.

Let’s talk about Natsuru. He’s a guy yea? A healthy one, yet when he transform into kampfer he became so girlish that it’s gay for him to act that way. I do wonder if it has something to do with the transformation instead. It Could be all his personality change as well?. Or he could be gay. And just like Strawberry Panic, they all claim he’s this pretty hot new transfer girl in school… In my eyes he looks like a drag queen. It is true that beauty is in the eye of the holder but this is too ridiculous.

This anime has a lot of panty shot, sexy almost like having sex scenes and horny girls all over. Every once in a while they have catfight. Meow … But it does not fulfill shoujo-ai fans needs as it seems to aim more towards teen boys. Mmm well I gave it 3/10.

P/s .. I’m glad I finally finish this. Now I can delete it from my HDD.
